Maeve’s Hat is knit in the round from the brim up. It features a knit-in-hem for style and to help retain shape of the brim over time. Instructions for the bead placement pattern are written and charted for personal preference. All measurements are given in US and metric.
YARN: 125 (145, 175, 200, 230, 250) yd. / 115 (130, 160, 180, 210, 230) m of fingering weight. Shown in Polka Dot Sheep Tenderfoot 80/20.
NEEDLES: US 1.5 and 2.5 / 2.5 mm and 3 mm
GAUGE: 28 stitches and 40 rows to 4 in / 10 cm in Stockinette stitch using larger needles
SIZES: Newborn (baby, toddler, child, adult small, adult large)
FINISHED BRIM CIRCUMFERENCE: 15.5 (16.5, 18, 19, 20, 21) in / 39 (42, 46, 48.5, 51, 53.5) cm
