With the fun little bobbles, this quick to knit hat is perfect knit for baby shower and birthday gifts. This pattern is a long time customer favorite in the Knit 'n Needle Yarn Shoppe. In fact, when out and about in Whitefish, Montana (our hometown), you might see on someone's head.
All measurements are US and metric.
YARN: 75 (100, 125, 150, 175) yd / 70 (90, 115, 140, 160) m in worsted weight
NEEDLES:
- US 6 / 4 mm circular 16" / 40 cm length
- US 8 / 5 mm circular 16" / 40 cm length
- US 8 / 5 mm double pointed
TOOLS: Stitch marker, tapestry needle, row counter is helpful
GAUGE: 18 stitches and 26 rows in 4" / 10 cm in stockinette stitch using larger needles
SIZING: Newborn (baby, toddler, junior, adult)
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: 14 (16, 18, 20, 22)" / 35.5 (40.5, 46, 51, 56) cm

Bobbles for the Whole Family Hat Pattern
Love, love, love this hat pattern. I can't even begin to count how many of these I've gifted to families with new babys and my own family members over the last 15 years or so & everyone loves them! They look equally great in a solid color as in stripes or variegated shades. My favorite trick is to give a set to a new mom: 2 sizes (a newborn sized and toddler sized one, for example). I also love giving 1 hat for the newborn and 1 in a size that fits the older sibling, using the same yarn, so the siblings have matching hats. Moms seem to love these sets for photos!
