This versatile garment is a shrug, cowl, hood, or a scarf – let your imagination guide you as you discover unique ways to wear it. Worked back in forth in garter stitch Polson Bay is easy enough for beginners, yet so much fun to wear that even advanced knitters will want to make one.
YARN: 540 yd. / 495 mbof DK weight. Knit with 1 skein of Blue Heron Rayon Metallic.
NEEDLES: US 8 and 9 / 5 and 5.5 mm
NOTIONS: (1) stitch marker, tapestry needle.
FINISHED MEASUREMENT: 62 x 14 in / 158 x 36 cm
TO WEAR:
- To wear as a shrug, place your arm through the sleeve and drape the tail over your other shoulder, leaving the knot to hang down and swing.
- To wear as a cowl, slip the sleeve over your head and drape the tail around your neck.
- To wear as a hood, pull the sleeve onto your head then wrap the tail around your neck.
- To wear as a scarf, wrap the garment around your neck as desired.
