This hat is super quick & easy to knit like its name suggests. It’s the perfect baby shower gift, as it goes up in an hour or so. Sizes include Newborn - Adult and uses worsted yarn. The striped hat has a hemmed brim that makes a smooth finish for anyones forehead. The Zig Zag hat pattern includes clear charts for the fair isle patterning, and both patterns feature measurements in US and metric.
YARN FOR STRIPED HAT: 45 (55, 65, 75, 85) yards / 41 (50, 60, 68, 78) meters of worsted weight in each color.
YARN FOR ZIG ZAG HAT: 70 (80, 90, 100, 110) yards / 64 (73, 82, 92, 100) meters of worsted weight in Main Color, and 20 (25, 30, 35, 40) yards / 18 (23, 28, 32, 37) meters of worsted weight in Contrast Color.
NEEDLES FOR STRIPED HAT: US 7 / 4.5 mm
NEEDLES FOR ZIG ZAG HAT: US 5 AND 7 / 3.75 AND 4.5 mm
GAUGE: 18 sts & 32 rows to 4 in / 10 cm over stockinette st using US 7 / 4.5 mm needles OR needles to gauge.
