The Yaak is pure luxury with its fiber blend of yak, silk and merino. It is quite possible you'll want to cover yourself in this yarn.
The Yaak has subtle sheen and has a heathered effect with grey undertones. With its wonderful drape and stitch definition, this yarn is perfect for shawls, sweaters, cowls, hats, or anything else you want to make. In fact, one knitter said after knitting and wet blocking her project it was almost as if she couldn't even "feel" her project, it was that soft and ethereal.
The Yaak is a limited palette yarn base. It will be available in a select number of PDS standard colors and exclusive colors to the Yaak.

Just beautiful!
I bought all the store had of the Buttercream. Once I started the sweater I wanted more and ordered it off the website. This is gorgeous yarn. So easy to work with. Can’t wait to see the finished project!

The Yaak
This is absolutely creates the most elegant, stunning fabric. The color is deep, like looking at a custom pain job on a collector car - like you could dip your fingers in the color. I’m making a Nola by Yamagara and this yarn will be both solid and have excellent drape. I’m glad I bought a skein of blue to swatch even though I ultimately picked a different color - both skeins will coordinate when I undo my swatch. Excellent, excellent yarn!!

This is really wonderful yarn. It’s soft with a nice drape and slight luster. I’m making a tee shirt with it.

The Yaak yarn in Bitteroot and Dusk
What I immediately loved was the feel of this yarn. The combination of the merino, silk, and yak is just perfect. The tones in especially the bitteroot color makes it just the right dusty pink color makes this just like no other color of pink or mauve I have seen..a real original. Dusk as always a favorite color but this combination of fibers makes it even more beautiful!

Yak! Who knew
I have not knitted anything with yak fiber and didn't know it was so soft until a knit buddy showed me her project. I purchased 2 skeins in Stone a great neutral color that can be incorporated with other DK weight in my stash or Kicking Horse Cowl pattern for an everyday cowl.

Gunmetal Yaak
With my gray hair, this gunmetal Yaak yarn is perfect for a scarf. I've downloaded the Garnet Ghost pattern by Aimee Alexander to add beautiful beads to my scarf. This yarn is sooo soft and lovely to work with.

Best Hat Yarn
Last year I knit a hat for my husband in this yarn - he loved it. He said the yak fiber keeps his head warm and insulated while also keeping it cool as he does work outside in the winter. My husband was so impressed with the yarn, I just had to buy another skein to make a hat for my dad for Christmas.

Soft, plump, perfect!
This yarn is to die for! It's soft with a slight sheen and knits up beautifully! Someday I plan to knit a cardigan out of it for myself.
